London, UK, March 30, 2016 – Developing World Systems (DWS) was recognized at the recent Oracle’s JD Edwards Summit in Broomfield, CO, with the 2016 Supporting Customers award. The award reflected DWS’s efforts to support JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Release 9.2 readiness.
DWS has been gearing up for the important 9.2 release of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne for more than two years. From its extensive experience of helping JD Edwards customers upgrade their EnterpriseOne systems, DWS knew that customers needed an efficient way to test their systems after the upgrade development work was complete, and developed innovative solutions to address this requirement. These solutions, Dimension Focus™ and Dimension SwifTest™, were launched at the recent Oracle OpenWorld event to coincide with Oracle’s release of EnterpriseOne 9.2.
To further help customers, DWS took part in Oracle’s beta testing program to help ensure that 9.2 was customer-ready. DWS has been involved in delivering a number of customer upgrade workshops to help customers prepare for their upgrades, and DWS has been running a series of no-charge educational webinars (online seminars). These are intended to help customers understand best practices for planning and executing their upgrades, planning and automating their testing, and then preparing to maintain a code current policy, where customers can keep their systems up to date through annual small uplifts, rather than major upgrades every several years.
“We congratulate DWS in achieving the 2016 Oracle’s JD Edwards Excellence Award for Supporting Customers,” said John Schiff, Vice President, Oracle’s JD Edwards. “This achievement is a testament to their dedication to providing JD Edwards customers with solutions and services that drive real business value and results.”
For eighteen years, DWS has delivered innovative solutions to help JD Edwards customers with the challenges of upgrading their EnterpriseOne systems. Solutions such as Dimension Analyze™ provide an accurate estimate of the effort required to upgrade users’ customizations of their EnterpriseOne system and help reduce the need for these customizations. Solutions such as Dimension Professional™ enable DWS to deliver upgrades for a fixed price and fixed time-scale. It also helps DWS deliver upgrades with among the lowest defect levels in the industry. Solutions such as Dimension Tempo™ make it easy for JD Edwards customers to maintain a code current policy. More recently, DWS announced two new solutions to address the testing challenge. Dimension Focus™ focuses on how the latest JD Edwards release impacts a customer’s customizations and identifies precisely what needs testing and what does not. Dimension SwifTest™ then simplifies and automates the testing effort, enabling non-technical users to create and manage their own testing process.
“We are thrilled that Oracle has recognized DWS innovations and commitments to supporting Oracle’s JD Edwards customers with their JD Edwards upgrades,” said Barry Burke, Chief Executive Officer of DWS. “We have had very positive feedback from our customers about how our innovations have helped simplify and reduce the cost of their upgrades, and we look forward to helping many more customers with their upgrade projects in 2016.”
Since 1998, DWS has been providing specialist software development and CNC expertise to companies who want to customize, upgrade, and support their JD Edwards EnterpriseOne systems.
Its award winning Dimension Analyze™ services have assisted customers across the globe with their EnterpriseOne upgrade projects.
