Barry is responsible for the day to day running of the company. Barry has worked in the JD Edwards market place since 1992 when he was one of an early cohort employed by JD Edwards UK. Whilst at JD Edwards, Barry held senior technical consulting and management roles with a year spent at Denver HQ and at various implementations in Europe. Barry, a keen innovator, was determined to bring something different to the JD Edwards customer community. As a result, Barry helped to start DWS in 1998 and has not looked back since. As the MD of DWS, Barry successfully completed the Business Growth Programme at Cranfield School of Management. Under Barry’s tenure, DWS has become known as the foremost specialist and innovator in JD Edwards Development. Barry has a strong technical background and holds a diploma in Software Engineering from Limerick Institute of Technology. Barry is a bit of a sports nut (mostly watching) and follows most types of sport. He has been known to even enjoy listening to golf on the radio – much to the bemusement of his wife!
Dave has worked in the IT industry for 30 years with 22 of those years with JD Edwards products. Dave is a Systems Design expert and helps customers to break down complex requirements to build elegant and robust solutions to their ERP challenges. Dave specialises in JD Edwards interoperability tools and techniques and Fusion Middleware technologies such as JDeveloper, Java, Business Services/WebServices, Oracle Application Developer Framework (ADF) and BPEL. Dave holds a BSc in Mathematics. Dave is a very keen cook as well as a bit of a wine connoisseur and knows his Merlot from his Malvar.
Zayne has worked with the JD Edwards product suite since the late 1980’s. Zayne started out his working life with one of the big 5 consultancies in South Africa before coming over to settle in the UK where he worked directly for JD Edwards UK and then subsequently went on to help start DWS in 1998. Zayne has managed some very large EnterpriseOne projects whilst at DWS and has overall responsibility for Quality Control at DWS. Zayne holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering. Zayne is also a very keen golfer who tries to avoid bunkers where possible, but likes nothing more than testing out his skills on new courses.
Maggie took over running the Finance Department in January 2002. She trained as an accountant, worked for a number of well-known companies and then saw the light becoming a presales consultant for a large US software house in 1988. In 1991 she joined a new company called JD Edwards UK as an implementation consultant, working on a number of international projects and upgrades. While at JDE she held other roles including Installed Base Client Manager and Senior Business Systems Analyst, her last responsibility being the support of the European Shared Services Centre. Maggie responds well to wine and chocolate keeping mind and body in shape with yoga, hiking and rowing. She recently had the honour of rowing in a boat escorting the Olympic Torch on the River Thames and is a passionate England Rugby fan.
Lee has worked in IT for 26 years, 22 with JD Edwards. Starting as a developer for JD Edwards in his native New Zealand, in ’95 Lee was the sole representative of NZ to work in Denver helping to convert World code to EnterpriseOne, or Everest as it was code-named in those days. Several of the key objects currently in use in E1 were originally created by Lee. After several years of travelling to ‘spread the word’ and train colleagues in EnterpriseOne development, Lee moved to the UK joining DWS in 1999 where he has worked for the company in a variety of roles and countries. Currently responsible for Product Strategy, Lee has overseen the creation of DWS’s Dimension™ series of products and services, and has supported customers around the world, helping them plan, execute and manage their E1 upgrades. Now residing back in New Zealand, Lee enjoys spending time with his family, fishing and tinkering with his Massey Ferguson (which he has promised never to roll again).
Barbara has over 36 years of experience in the sale of hardware and software solutions. Throughout her professional career, Barbara has earned the reputation as a sales leader who achieves success by building lasting client relationships and is considered by her customers as a trusted business advisor. As the EMEA sales executive, Barbara will be responsible for helping to drive DWS business development and new customer acquisition strategies into the JD Edwards client base in both South Africa and the UK. Her 15 year tenure with J D Edwards/Oracle and 20 year career with IBM, she provides the perfect addition to our sales team for helping companies significantly reduce their total cost of ownership.
Dom has been working in the ERP Software Industry since 1997 when he graduated from the University of Bath with a BSc in Electronic & Communications Engineering. He has been working at DWS from 2002 and manages the Technology and Infrastructure team. Dom is a technical all-rounder specialising in JD Edwards infrastructure upgrades and architecture. Over the years he has accumulated many industry certifications and professional qualifications from Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, VMWARE and is currently working towards ITIL Expert. He has recently been working closely with Oracle to beta test the latest release of JD Edwards software. Dom is passionate about music and enjoys tinkering with his Hi-Fi and also plays several instruments.
Patrick has been around and involved in the design, development, implementation and sale of business application software for more than thirty-five years. His introduction to JD Edwards was in 1990 and during the 1990s he worked with the first JD Edwards partner in the UK and then joined JD Edwards in France. He moved to the UK from the US in 1988 after receiving an MBA in Business Administration from Golden Gate University, San Francisco, whilst he was working full time as a bit of a techy programmer. Patrick then became a JD Edwards consultant, trainer, mentor, project manager, program manager and client manager before moving into a variety of different sales and business development roles. Patrick had many years successfully selling ERP, etc. in the UK, across Europe and globally with JD Edwards, PeopleSoft and Oracle. He has also worked in sales/business development roles for IBM, Rolls Royce, OSyS and Elemica. Patrick is a citizen of both the US and UK, has a wife and three children, and loves his golf, sports in general, and travelling.
